Ted Shapiro Inventor Bio

is a toy inventor, product designer and software engineer with a studio in Brooklyn, New York. He is the creator of "Butterfly in a Jar" (below) which sold over a million units. The butterfly  embodies Ted's goal to create products that surprise, often with an element of magic or transformation, but hide the notion of trick or complexity. The Butterfly grew from Ted's background in special effects, puppetry and software engineering.
